Namco is the game company that finances Xevious. Namco is stationed in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan.
The original Namco Ltd is most famous for creating Pac-Man, the best-selling arcade game in history. Following a merger with Bandai in September 2005, the two companies' game production assets were spun off into Namco Bandai Games in March 31, 2006. On that same date, the present Namco Ltd was formed by retaining the video arcade and amusement park operations of the original company. Namco operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings, with its remaining assets in video arcades and amusement parks located in Japan. Its regional subsidiaries also continue similar operations overseas. The company is currently continuing the Xevious timeline, with many Xevious games released.
